Hot air balloon spectacular in Parramatta Park

You have two opportunities to catch a beautiful hot air balloon spectacular in Parramatta Park this January. Enjoy the inaugural Balloon Glow event as the sun sets on Thursday 25 January. 

Hot air balloons of all shapes and colours will light up the evening sky creating a spectacular display. There will also be live music, family activities, delicious food and more. 

For the early birds, watch the hot air balloons and grab a free brekkie on 26 January from 6am to 11am. There will plenty of family fun with live music, entertainment and activities. Both events are free.

Splish splash at the pool

Cool down at the world-class Parramatta Aquatic Centre (PAC). The newly-opened health, wellness and fitness hub, PAC, is home to indoor and outdoor pools, splash and play zone, gym facilities as well as spa, steam sauna area. 

Head over to Epping Aquatic Centre and take a dip in the six-lane 50-metre outdoor pool and covered toddlers’ play pool.

Free summer concert – Sydney Symphony Under the Stars: Pictures in the Sky

Join Sydney Symphony Orchestra, conductor Benjamin Northey and special guests for a starlit summer concert on 20 January in Parramatta Park.

Audiences will enjoy original works featuring the didgeridoo magic of William Barton, joined by Aunty Delmae Barton, Véronique Serret and Iva Davies AM and the transportive sitar playing of Anoushka Shankar. 

The Sydney Symphony Orchestra will close the evening with orchestral classics and a big sparkly bang.

This is a free and unticketed event. Open from 5pm, official program commences 7.30pm

Enjoy a show at Riverside Theatres

This summer Riverside Theatres will host a number of Sydney Festival shows including comedy musical Bananaland, Aseel Tayah’s immersive experience A’mar, have a laugh at the Multicultural Comedy Gala, catch murder mystery Things Hidden Since the Foundation of the World and Dinosaur World Live. 

You can also enjoy and experience Korean traditional Music at Viva Korea.
