Gatehouse Tea Rooms

One of the oldest high tea venues in Sydney and a UNESCO World Heritage Listed site, Gatehouse Tea Rooms delivers a picturesque high tea service in Parramatta Gardens. Treat yourself to delectable finger sandwiches, pastry delights, moreish scones and a wide selection of teas as you enjoy the lush gardens, colonial history, and stunning 18th-century architecture. Gatehouse Tea Rooms have five high tea menus to choose from, and prices start from $19 per person. Bookings are essential.

Adora High Tea

High tea with a side of pure coverture hot chocolate – we’ll take two! Tea, savouries, and some of the richest chocolate in the world are on offer at Adora Chocolates high tea service. Everything at this Parramatta patisserie is made by hand daily, so you know you’re in for a gourmet treat when you book a table for high tea. Adora’s tea for two sitting is $20 per person and bookings are required.

Lachlan’s Old Government House

Another Sydney icon worthy of its Heritage-listed status, Lachlan’s Old Government House is the essence of fine dining. Nestled amid the rolling lawns and sandstone courtyards of Parramatta Park, Lachlan’s high tea service comes complete with white tablecloths, three-tier platters, hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, tea and coffee, petite sweets and fresh scones. Elizabeth Farm Tea Room

Step back in time to the 1800s and enjoy a traditional high tea in a living museum at the Elizabeth Farm Tea Room. Australia’s oldest surviving European building, Elizabeth Farm has been beautifully preserved and is open to the public to wander through a slice of Australia’s colonial history. The tearoom at Elizabeth Farm serves Devonshire tea, handmade scones, fresh sandwiches, and crumbly biscuits in the estate’s tranquil gardens every weekend from 10.30am.

Rydges Parramatta

High tea with a complimentary glass of bubbly is how they do it at Rydges Parramatta. Steeds Club Grill & Bar serves high tea on the first floor of the 4-star Rydges Parramatta every day from 11.30am. You’ll be showered with fresh finger sandwiches, pastries, colourful macaroons, scones with jam and cream, and of course tea and bubbly. Prices start from $49 per person and bookings are essential.
