Getting to Australia Day 2020 in Parramatta

PLAN YOUR DAY

Australia Day in Parramatta Park is a vehicle-free event. The main entry point is through O'Connell Street (Tudor Gatehouse) or via Macquarie Street. While we encourage people to take public transport to the event, trains will run on a regular Saturday service throughout Australia Day. PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Parramatta Park is a short walk from Westmead Station and Parramatta Interchange. Ferry services can fill up quickly on Australia Day. For timetable and journey planning information visit www.transportnsw.info or call the Transport Infoline on 131 500.

The Parramatta Shuttle Bus 900 is a fast, free transport solution which operates on a continuous loop every 23 minutes, starting from Macquarie Street near Centenary Square. The service has been extended for Australia Day on 26 January 2020 and will operate from 6am right through to 8.30pm. View shuttle bus map here
 


RIDE YOUR BIKE

Leave your bike at the free bike valet parking service thanks to Camwest. Bike valet is located just inside the park, enter through O'Connell Street (Tudor Gatehouse). Open 10am to 9.30pm. Suggested cycling routes to the event include the Parramatta Valley Cycleway, Rail Trail, M4 Motorway Viaduct and transit-ways.
 


PARK AND WALK

With over 7,000 car parking spaces available at four parking stations in the Parramatta CBD - Parramatta Station, City Centre, Justice Precinct and Eat Street car parks - there are many parking options available. Park and Ride is also available at Seven Hills Station.
 


ACCESSIBLE PARKING

There is no parking within Parramatta Park on Australia Day as it is a car-free event, however you can register for accessible parking for the O'Connell Street carpark, just North of the bridge. Contact events@cityofparramatta.nsw.gov.au to register for accessible parking or to ask any other accessibility-related questions about the Australia Day event. 

Alternatively, on-street parking is available across the CBD and in Council’s multilevel car parks for people with a Mobility Parking Permit. Permit holders can also park all day in any space with a time limit of one hour and over.
