Planning your trip to Parramatta Nights

City of Parramatta is under construction and a number of our city-based car parks and roads are closed. Whichever way you’re getting to Parramatta Nights, pre-plan your trip for a fuss-free experience, and please travel COVID-19 safe and by practicing good hygiene and wearing a face mask on public transport, ridesharing and taxis and whenever you can’t socially distance.

The Rooftop Hangout - Book Tickets

Is The Rooftop Hangout an over 18 event?

This is a licenced event. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an parent or guardian.

Can I BYO?

No. However, we will have a fully licenced rooftop bar selling a range of alcoholic, low alcohol and alcohol-free drinks.

What about when I’m hungry?

You’re in for a treat as Butter Sydney will be providing the food on the rooftop. There will be vegetarian options available. If you have specific dietary requirements, please check in with Butter Sydney directly. 

Will the rooftop be a seated event? 

Seating will be on offer. Please note this may change in line with Government regulations. Due to the uncertain nature of COVID-19, requirements may change. 

When will my fave artist be on?

Doors open from 5:30 pm. Set times will available closer to the night. Be sure to come with enough time to enjoy food, drinks and to see all artists of the evening. 

Is this event accessible?

Yes. The rooftop can be accessed via elevators. We will also offer a complimentary carer ticket to those who hold a valid NSW companion card. Please contact events@cityofparramatta.nsw.gov.au and we can ensure you have the best night. 

I’m a band and want to be in the rooftop hangout – is there an email address for a booking agent that I can contact?

Thank you for your interest. All acts have been secured for the rooftop hangout, however, please feel free to send across your details and a link to your band page to be considered for future event programming. 

What if it's raining?

As this is an outdoor event it’s best to prepare for all elements. In case of light or intermittent rain, the event will still go ahead as planned. However, in case of extreme weather conditions or where danger may be present your session may be cancelled. You will be notified via email and on the website. Should your event be cancelled, you will have the option to transfer your tickets to a different event or be refunded within 10 days of cancellation.

Open-Air Cinema - Book Tickets

Are dogs allowed at the Open-Air Cinema?

No. Your furry friend will have to stay at home on this occasion, unless they are an assistance dog.

What time does the film begin?

There are various starting times for all films. Best to check the website directly. We recommend getting here early to enjoy all the entertainment on offer, or to grab something to eat and drink. 

What should I bring?

Feel free to bring blankets to keep you warm if the night gets chilly, a poncho in case of light showers (sorry, no umbrellas) and insect repellent in case the mozzies are out. Remember to check the weather forecast and pack accordingly. 

Can I show my ticket on my phone?

Absolutely. Have them ready before you reach the gate to avoid delay queuing. 

What happens if I can no longer attend?

Please contact events@cityofparramatta.nsw.gov.au to arrange a film transfer. 

It looks like it’s going to rain, will the film still go ahead?

What kind of seating is there? 

There are 150 beanbags provided on a first come first served basis. There will be seating in the bar area within the cinema footprint, however we encourage attendees to bring a picnic blanket. 

Can I bring chairs?

Yes, however you will be seated further to the back, so the view is not restricted for those on beanbags and blankets. 

Can I bring my own food and drink?

Yes, you can BYO food and non-alcoholic drinks.

Roller Skating Rink - Book tickets

Are skates included in the costs of the roller rink?

Yes. However, feel free to bring your own set along if you have one.  

Will the roller rink be a corralled off concrete area or a smooth roller rink? 

The Roller Rink will be an enclosed wooden platform. 

Is there going to be a DJ playing music at the roller rink?

There will be a DJ playing on weekends.

Can you buy tickets for longer than 30 mins?

If you wish to skate for longer, you will need to purchase tickets to additional sessions. 

Can I roller derby?

Not on this occasion, please look out for one another on the Roller Rink. However, stay tuned for a special announcement 😊 

What size will the roller rink be? 

20 x 20 metres

Jazz at Parramatta Square

When can I listen to Jazz? 

From Thursday to Sunday evening between 25 March - 11 April. Each band will play two sets per night 6pm and 7pm.

Can I BYO picnic rugs, or are tables and chairs provided? 

There is seating and stairs throughout Parramatta Square, however, feel free to bring along your picnic blanket and enjoy the evening.

Will there be food trucks or will I need to BYO dinner? 

Parramatta Square is open now to the public. There are a number of restaurants and grab-and-go options available for you to enjoy as you listen to jazz.
