Royal Easter Show: Where Childhoods Are Relived

About the Royal Easter Show

A celebration of Australian culture, the Sydney Royal Easter Show is Australia's largest annual event, offering Sydney's best value day out with all-day entertainment, great food and an incredible showcase of agricultural excellence.

Each year people come together from all different backgrounds at the Royal Easter Show in Sydney Showground to connect with Australia's agricultural traditions.

The Royal Easter Show is all about enjoying agricultural competitions, animal experiences, entertainment, carnival fun, shopping and so much more.

About the Royal Agricultural Society

First held in 1823, the Show is run by the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, a not-for-profit organisation that promotes and rewards agricultural excellence.

The Sydney Royal Easter Show helps the RAS to continue supporting rural communities in Australia and investing in agricultural programs.

The Sydney Royal Easter Show Experience

Showgoers look forward to the annual Sydney Royal Easter Show's regular fixtures, including interacting with cute animals at the Barnyard nursery, watching the Woodchoppers battle it out for the Champion title at the Woodchop Stadium, and of course tucking into the world's best scones at the CWA Tea Room.

It's all-day entertainment with amazing Agricultural Exhibitions to marvel at, award-winning produce to taste, shopping, carnival rides, dancers, fireworks and so much more.

For many Aussies, the Royal Easter Show is a place where childhood memories are made. Both kids and the inner-child in adults alike know you can't leave the Sydney Royal Easter Show without picking up a show bag (or two!). From the Avengers to Caramello Koala, to Bertie Beetle Bonanza - it's all about bringing home the best show bag.

Reliving Childhood Memories

The Sydney Royal Easter Show is all about great entertainment, delicious food and agricultural showcases. Most of all, however, it’s a chance to spend quality time with family and relive childhood memories.

The Easter Show was cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To celebrate its return this year, the City of Parramatta worked with the organisers to give away some family passes in a competition.
